Jaclyn Glenn and Paul & Morgan

Yesterday when I saw the picture of Jaclyn Glenn with the YouTubers Paul & Morgan I was confused. Was there another feud that I wasn’t aware of? Or did either party happen to change their beliefs resulting in this weirdly phenomenal friendship?   From left to right: Paul Olliges, Morgan Olliges, Jaqueline Glenn and David Frank For the uninitiated, Jaclyn Glenn is an atheist Youtuber, who has often covered Paul & Morgan in her channel. Paul and Morgan are a young Christian couple who although have some good videos, have some very problematic and questionable opinions. Their video on “Would Jesus Wear A Mask?” justifies not wearing one, they believe that birth control means not placing your trust in God’s hands and they belong to the population of Christians who believe that Trump was appointed by God to restore the sinfulness of America.   Along the same lines goes another Youtuber, Brenda Marie Davis, known for her channel God is Grey. Both Brenda and Jacl...

My Journey Exploring the Theory of Evolution

(Prologue) What could be my stance on evolution? This was something I repeatedly wanted to address but I was usually unsure if it would find relevance on my blog. Firstly, because I’m not a theologian. And secondly because I just thought most people were way past that. For some reason I assumed this was not an argument among Christians anymore (wow, I know, my ignorance) and we’ve moved onto weightier issues. However, that is really not the case. I have seen people both within and outside the scientific community that think evolution is some sort of a tale or a conspiracy theory, sometimes even having “scientific” theories of their disapproval of the same. So here it goes!   During my days in school, I, like every other child, thought that evolution was simply a theory supported by loosely based facts and wasn’t something I should be too bothered about as a good Christian kid. I genuinely believed that Darwin and the rest of the evolutionists only wanted to have a go...

Acknowledgements that Matter

One of my earliest memories of men empowering little girls goes back to my 11 th or 12 th grade. This was when I was a couple of months into blogging and was getting a hold of vocalizing my stance on more controversial issues. It was during this time that I had particularly written about my feelings on being forced to cover my hair during worship and sent it as a WhatsApp text to a clergyman of my church, let us call him MM.   MM was more than delighted to read it. He even wanted to share it with his friends and sent me a screenshot of a particular response by a woman who didn’t even know me. I thought maybe a certain few would be able to relate to it and so decided to go ahead and put it on the blog. While putting it up, as protocol went, I also shared it around, not thinking too much about it. But one of the responses is something that will stick with me for life.   The next day or the day after, I received a message from another clergyman, let’s call him MV...

Marriage and Celibacy

The picture is for reference only.   The case of a student nun murder in 1992, Kottayam, Kerala, had resurfaced recently when a verdict was passed after 28 years. Amidst the entire ruckus of being charged with murder, destruction of evidence and the church misusing its power and wealth to manipulate statements there is another problem I see which for some reason is not being addressed to the general public.   I’m just going to stop beating around the bush and say this:   two individuals going to great lengths to murder an innocent person is not normal but the fruit of the issue. The root is the institutionalization of religion imposed by the Church which all 3 were victims of. As long as the root is there, how much ever you cut the fruits off, they are bound to grow back. That is, overlooking how harmful forceful celibacy has proven to be is only going to make such incidences happen again.   The truth, how much ever church likes to deny it, is that every...
